General Motors files for bankruptcy

I simply cannot wrap my head around this. My grandparents on my dad's side both worked there during WWII. My grandma is still on a GM pension. My hometown at one time had over 30,000 GM employees living there. The economy of the whole town was dependent on GM. Thanks to poor quality control, Japanese competition, the ever increasing demands of the unions, NAFTA, the WTO, CAFE standards, Bill Clinton, George Bush and most of all, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, an entire way of life is now coming to a shuddering halt.

I drive Ford for a reason. But this will have a negative effect on my family, my family's business, my gray haired grandmother and my long suffering hometown.

What a fucking mess.

Beatersville 2009

Another great car and bike show at Phoenix Hill Tavern, Louisville, KY.

Not too many trad choppers, but this Bill Mize influenced pan was a real attention getter:

Lots of cafe bikes:

I caught up with Dan Brown, the Autoexpressionist from GKM #2:

He has a show coming up at the Howell Gallery and Tattoo Studio in Ft. Myers, FL the entire month of July. He is a heck of a nice fellow too:

This poor butchered flattie made me envious, if it were mine I'd give it the tasteful stylization it deserves:

I'll post some pics of the weekend's hijinks on Unfocused soon.

About Me

My photo
An unfocused dilettante. I'm not half bad. Overall a very good yegg and a wrong guy in an increasingly right world.
